Thanks for visiting the "Life in Space" website!

Here is a brief introduction to the research theme.

It starts from the Moon...

1969.
With the Apollo mission’s landing on the Moon,
humanity reached a new vantage point —
one that allowed us to look upon Earth

as an ecosystem, whole and complete.

Mother Earth — Gaia.

For four billion years,
this planet has nurtured every form of life as we know it.

Yet because this environment is so ever-present,
its influence remains elusive — nearly imperceptible.

Consider life,

which has evolved entirely under Earth’s 1G gravity.

This curiosity began with a simple question:
How would living beings change
in the weightlessness of space?

Research aboard the International Space Station gave us, for the first time, a glimpse into how Earth’s gravity has helped shape life itself.

Something passed down within us,

generation after generation —
and yet, a truth of life’s survival and growth

that had long gone unnoticed.

With awareness comes a new understanding.
The power to transform our perspectives.

And gravity is just the beginning.

Everything we take for granted in our daily lives —
when seen from the vast expanse of the universe —
is revealed as a constellation of conditions unique to Earth.

Beyond Gaia.

This cosmic perspective on life goes beyond biology.
It becomes a guide —
connecting the past and future of humanity, society,
and the entire web of life on Earth.

Now is the time.
The chronicle of life,

written on a cosmic scale, is about to begin.
